Chodzieskie Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in Greater Poland.
In the 1990s, it underwent a number of activities aimed at improving the water quality in the lake, including the construction of a sewage treatment plant. Thanks to these measures, the lake is the cleanest lake in Greater Poland, often visited by the city's inhabitants and tourists themselves, who willingly use this place to relax.
Despite the waste bins placed and the campaign to keep the lake and its shore clean, waste is still thrown into the lake. Garbage thrown into the lake is a serious ecological problem. They can pollute water, causing its degradation and poisoning, negatively affecting its aesthetics and the natural environment, and threatening the life of animals and plants. While organic waste is less of a problem for the condition of the lake, PET bottles, aluminum cans, plastic bags and glass are a big problem that the polluters themselves do not realize.
